Conveniently located just 100 meters from the dive centre, Sands apartments are very popular with our repeat divers! Recently refurbished, all apartments provide comfortable self catering accommodation for single persons and groups alike.
The apartments vary in size , so you can choose between one,  two bedroom or the large Penthouse apartment on the top floor.

Designed for divers the apartments have a spacious washing and storage room in the basement for your dive equipment.
Our apartments can accommodate up to 38 persons in total.

NEW for 2012 we can now also offer you a Villa apartment in Mellieha, this has 2 large bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 persons. You will find images and details of this further down the page.

One bedroom studio with balcony

Our one bedroom studios are ideal for 2 persons, they have a spacious open plan style layout, with private shower room. On booking you have the option to ask for 2 singles or a double bed.
We have 4 of these apartments, they are all similar in style, varying slightly in layout.

One bedroom apartment with double bed

These one bedroom apartments are ideal for 1 or  2 persons.
These apartments have a bedroom with double bed which is separate to the kitchen/ living room area.
It has a private shower room.  We have 3 such apartments

These two bedroom apartments are ideal for a family of 4, they have a kitchen/ living area, with private balcony.  One bedroom has a double bed with en suite shower room, and a second bedroom with 2 single beds, also with en suite shower room. The living room sofa, doubles up as a sofa bed if needed

This two bedroom apartment is ideal for a group of 4 persons, they have an open plan kitchen/ living area, an alcove sleeping 2 persons with own shower .
A second bedroom with 2 single beds, en suite shower room, leading out on to a private sun terrace.

Penthouse Apartment

This apartment is a spacious apartment with ample space for 6 persons, with the possibility to add an extra bed in one of the bedrooms for a 7th person.  The main bedroom has an en suite shower and private sun terrace, an additional 2 bedrooms each with 2 singles, or a double. A bathroom plus a second shower room. The apartment has a large open plan living/ sitting / kitchen area, which leads out on to a sun terrace.

All apartments come complete with linen, towels & crockery . They are all fitted with AC units, activated using meter cards.  An initial number of units are provided free of charge, additional top -up cards cards are available from the dive centre.


AIRPORT PICK UP SERVICE


A free 24 hour airport transfer service is provided for guests staying at Sands. One FREE transfer per apartment, for guests are arriving on different flights , extra transfers are charged at €25 per transfer.

WELCOME  FOOD PACK

The housekeeper prepares a complementary welcome food pack in your apartment for your first breakfast. This includes mineral water, coffee, tea, milk, breakfast cereal, bread, sugar, honey and butter. )

Sands Apartments - rates and general information
Villa Apartment - Mellieha ( 15 minute drive from/to Maltaqua )

This villa is located in a lovely quiet residential area of Mellieha. With ample space for 6 persons. It has a Main bedroom with double bed and a second bedroom which can take up to 4 single. It has fully fitted kitchen and outdoor BBQ area. This villa apartment has shared use of an infinity edge swimming pool, perfect for families or groups with non divers, who just want a relaxing holiday by the pool.
The area is great for country walks, in that it boarders a Natura 2000 protected site.

Sands wet room

Sands was original built with divers in mind, so a common wet area is provided for all guests staying at Sands. Located in the basement, this is easily assessable from the entrance of the building. Dive trucks can drive straight to the entrance making loading and unloading of the dive gear easier.

The wash area is fitted with fans providing circulation of air , aiding drying of the gear.  Returning guests will notice a brighter and cleaner looking washroom, as this area was totally refurbished this winter ! New wall & floor tiles, as well as new railings, washbasin and purpose dive gear hangers have transformed this room.
